This creates a messy trail of scattered information. A good samaritan might see a stray dog and post about it on one website, while the worried owner is checking a completely different app. UnLostPaws brings order to this confusion by gathering all missing reports, shelter surrenders, and stray sightings onto a single interactive map.

The system works in three simple steps. First, an owner or finder creates an alert by uploading a clear photo of the animal, adding a brief description, and pinning the exact location on the map. Next, the platform's image-recognition system automatically scans the photo, looking at unique fur patterns, shapes, and facial features. It instantly compares these details against every other active report in the database to find potential matches.

If the system detects a strong match between a lost pet and a new sighting, it immediately notifies both sides so they can talk directly. By removing the need to manually scroll through hundreds of social media posts, UnLostPaws cuts down the search process from days to minutes. This fast response helps get pets off the street and back home safely before they wander too far.
